Welcome to my garden! My name is William Niendorff. I am a horticulturist, landscape architecture graduate student, designer and artist based in Austin, Texas. The photos in this blog are taken by me at my home greenhouse and garden in Central Austin, unless otherwise noted. Please explore this virtual planting space and observe how it grows and changes over time. I cultivate more than 150 different species of plants from xeric desert dwellers to rainforest tropicals and post new photos almost every day. In addition to the kingdoms of life (Plantae, Animalia, etc.), art and architecture play important structural roles in the creation and facilitation of poetics within the space of landscape. Gardens and the beauty they propagate emerge from within our created and shared spaces, whether real or imagined, to provide many wonders from corporeal to aesthetic sustinance. It is here, I hope, in this virtual garden space, that visitors may engage in a relationship of mutual enlivening.
